Inspired by a story in the New York Times about a jacket worn by Thelonious Monk. This particular jacket had embroidered inside the left cuff the words Crepescule with Nellie. As an early experiment with sound in creating an installation I reacted to the space and materials while listening to Mr. Monk's song Crepescule with Nellie on repeat for approximately 30 hours. The sounds were not played in the final work.
